The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies into the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it truly is alarmed in regards to the high amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a large amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area on a daily basis. The services level designed for intervention activities a superior inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it tricky for that Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more sources to enable the servicing of all customers and maximize usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
